We believe that the secret to our success is the people in the team.  Every single member is passionate about who we serve and providing the best quality meals.  

Our wonderful Sue joined us in 2019 with significant cooking experience.  During COVID she tackled the formalities of a Certificate 3 in Commercial Cookery and graduated as a Chef.  Her desire to grow, her passion for food and her commitment to looking after people lead to her promotion to the second in commend (Sous Chef) but whilst she has been with us she has upgraded her skills and is now the second in command (Souz Chef) in the kitchens in 2024.

The Sous Chef is defined as the top assistant in a professional kitchen, ranking directly below the Head Chef. They play a crucial role in managing kitchen operations, supervising staff, and ensuring food quality. The term "sous chef" is French for "under chef," indicating their position in the kitchen hierarchy.

Most of the time you will find Sue in our cold kitchen.  We have hot and cold kitchens which we will go into more at another time. She is responsible for the final quality and presentation of the meals as it is the cold kitchen that does the packaging and freezing down.

Sue is a passionate baker and cooks our annual Christmas Fruit Cakes along with the biscuits provided by our sister company Monkey Business Catering.  If you drop in to pick up your meals and she is around, ask her what her secret recipe is!
