This week Kristina is taking a well earned holiday! It has ONLY been a week & she has been missed - for her humor & joy as well as how much work she does! Hence why this newsletter is a tiny bit later in the week.
Our kitchen has been working incredible hard with new dishes being prepared, old dishes returning & some 600 meals for Harvesters being made for them to take out to very, very remote farms. Some are going to NSW.
Below is Susan cutting carrots for those meals. She is fabulous!
In the past Harvesters's (which tend to be teams of varied sizes) would take a cook with them when they traveled for harvests.
They would be traveling for months at a time going from farm to farm.
Now with finding capable cooks incredibly difficult (& those that are available preferring to stay with their families) we have companies coming to us to pre-prepare frozen meals so they can take with them.
We are really glad we can fill the gap & love working with them.
My dad was a farmer & to be able to still support that industry in a practical way makes me happy. Plus our food is delicious!
