This is a classic Italian sauce and a great base for many dishes including as a pasta sauce, as a pizza base or a tomato sauce for your own lasagne. We confit garlic and mixed Italian herbs in olive oil with some salt and pepper, then add tomatoes, red wine, brown sugar and fresh basil and simmer on low for hours. It's very simple but delicious!
To cook simply defrost and warm in a saucepan or microwave. Serve with your favourite pasta. We recommend pairing it with our spinach and ricotta ravioli.
